Climate Specific Design
There are many different climatic zones around Australia. All of these different climate zones call for different approaches to building design. For example, houses designed for Darwin will obviously be different to those designed for the ski fields.
ebs is based in Canberra, which is in a "Cool Temperate" climate zone. This means we have
- Low humidity
- High night-to-day temperature range
- Four distinct seasons with our summer and winter temperatures outside the human comfort range
- Cold to very cold wet winters
- Hot dry summers
